Child Safety and Content Rules

Last updated: 13 August 2026

ZOXX is a family-friendly place to create and play games. We ask everyone who uses ZOXX to follow these rules and help us keep it safe, welcoming and fun for families.

These rules apply throughout the creation process and to everything requested, submitted, created or published through ZOXX, from prompts and assets to complete games.

What we love to see

Friendly, creative, age-appropriate play, such as:

  • Puzzles, building, drawing, music and imaginative play.
  • Exploration and gentle fantasy adventures.
  • Friendly sports, racing and skill challenges.
  • Cooperation, kindness and helping characters.
  • Playful obstacles, competition and failure where nobody is hurt, badly frightened or embarrassed.

Games that include the following are also allowed:

  • Cartoon or fantasy action against obviously imaginary creatures, robots or objects, with no blood, injury, death or suffering. Characters can bounce back straight away, run off, vanish or transform in a playful way.
  • Mildly spooky or suspenseful moments, like mysterious settings, friendly ghosts, clearly imaginary villains, gentle surprises and low-key chases.
  • Harmless tools and projectiles such as magic, paint, snowballs, bubbles, foam and water, when they are not threatening and do not stand in for a real weapon.
  • Slapstick mishaps and short moments of sadness, disappointment or separation, handled kindly and resolved with reassurance.
  • Everyday affection, family and friendship, shown warmly and without romance.
  • Random rewards during play, as long as nobody pays or wagers anything.

Not allowed on ZOXX

  • Violence, injury and death — realistic fighting, killing, war, terrorism, torture or executions; blood, gore, wounds, visible injury or suffering; harm to realistic people or animals; gameplay built around attacking or destroying characters; and rewards for causing pain, injury or death.
  • Weapons — realistic or recognisable guns, knives, bombs, ammunition and explosives, or anything else designed to kill or seriously hurt; and gameplay that closely simulates real weapon use, such as aiming, firing, reloading, stabbing or throwing explosives, even when a toy, tool, fantasy object or other stand-in replaces the weapon.
  • Cruelty and humiliation — hurting, frightening, trapping, neglecting, humiliating or tormenting a person or animal for entertainment or reward, even with no blood involved and even when the target is fictional.
  • Frightening content — intense or drawn-out horror, strong jump scares, disturbing images, realistic threats, stalking, abduction, menacing chases, and sound, music or visuals meant to shock or upset.
  • Sexual content — sexual behaviour, nudity, suggestive poses, sexualised characters, sexual jokes or language, pornography, dating features and adult relationship advice.
  • Self-harm and serious distress — suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, abuse of any kind, dangerous challenges, severe mental distress, traumatic grief, realistic danger to a young person, body shaming and extreme dieting.
  • Bullying, hate and discrimination — bullying, harassment, threats, exclusion, slurs and hostile stereotypes, or putting anyone down for their race, colour, nationality, culture, religion, disability, health, age, sex, gender, gender identity, sexuality or any other personal characteristic.
  • Bad language and crude humour — swearing, slurs, demeaning insults, sexual or violent jokes, adult humour and anything meant to shock, including partly hidden words, lyrics, symbols and sound effects.
  • Dangerous or criminal activity — simulating real-world wrongdoing or reckless challenges that disregard ordinary safety precautions.
  • Drugs and restricted products — alcohol, tobacco, smoking, vaping, illegal drugs, drug dealing or misusing medicine.
  • Gambling — casinos, betting, roulette, slot machines, lotteries, simulated gambling, loot boxes, paid random items, and rewards or visual design styled after gambling.
  • Selling and advertising — advertising, sponsored content, product placement, prompts to buy, external shops, paid upgrades, virtual currency and digital item sales.
  • Pressure to come back or spend — daily login streaks, rewards tied to a real-world time, limited-time offers, countdowns, artificial scarcity, and losing rewards, progress or status for not returning.
  • Deception — impersonation, misleading interfaces, fake warnings, manipulative claims and ways around ZOXX safety controls.
  • Open communication between players — features that allow players to exchange free-form or private communications, including chat, direct messages or voice communication.
  • Personal information — asking for names, photos, videos, voice recordings, addresses, schools, phone numbers, email addresses, passwords, precise locations or social accounts; free-form text, image, audio or video uploads; and access to a player's camera, microphone, contacts or location.
  • Links off ZOXX — links, QR codes or instructions that send players to external websites, private chats, social media or contact outside ZOXX.
  • Targeting real people — threatening, shaming, ridiculing or impersonating a real user, teacher, family member or public figure, making harmful or unverified claims about them, and using deepfakes, cloned voices, private images or personal details without permission.
  • Anything that dodges review — hidden prohibited content, player-facing material loaded from an external source, unmoderated content generated during play, and tools built to get around our review and publishing checks.

Review, reporting and questions

We use a mix of automated checks and human review, before and after a game is published. Depending on what we find, we may ask for changes, make safety or technical updates, reject an update, limit access to a game or remove it from the catalogue, along with any steps described in our Terms of Service.

Flag a game or safety concern with the reporting tools in ZOXX or by emailing safety@zoxx.ai. We will look into it and respond in the way we believe best protects our players and community.
