ZOXX is a game-building service made for families ✨

Tell us about the game you imagine in everyday language. ZOXX helps you plan, design, build, revise, save, publish and play it.

Not at all! First-timers totally welcome 🤗

Just start by describing the game you want in plain language, or even just one character or part of a game idea.

'Ella', your friendly AI guide will help you refine the idea and guide you every step of the way.

You can focus on the fun and creative decisions while ZOXX handles the technical work.

ZOXX is designed to be a fun place for families to work on ideas together, although all accounts need a responsible adult as the account owner.

ZOXX is a powerful game-building platform where you can build almost any single-player, 2D or 3D game you can imagine.

Keep in mind all games need to be family-friendly and comply with the Child Safety and Content Rules.

Bigger games take substantial work. Don't expect a large, complicated 3D world to be fully built in one session! For big ideas, you can start with the core experience, then develop it over multiple sessions.

Some specific game features are not yet possible on ZOXX, but if you contact support to let us know what you'd like to do, we'll do our best to enable your vision.

ZOXX games currently run in a web browser. The ZOXX app is coming soon to app stores, where published games will also be playable.

If at any point you decide you want to keep working on your game outside of ZOXX, you can download the full source code on our Creator and Pro plans.

If you've only got the smallest seed of an idea, like one main character (eg "a game with a unicorn on rollerskates" 🦄🛼) that's totally great as a starting point.

Or if you've thought through every detail like controls, characters, gameplay, levels and more, that will work great also!

If you've got anything you want to upload such as a handdrawn character sketch or some notes about how the game will work, you can upload them early on and the team will incorporate it into the plans.

Safety is part of the whole creative journey 🛡️

Our Child Safety and Content Rules apply to everything that happens on ZOXX.

We use automated checks almost every time an action is taken in the platform (eg every message, every image change) to maintain the high safety standards.

We also do human reviews, and require the responsible adult account holder to do a final check of every game and declare that it meets the Safety Rules before every publish 💪

If something doesn't fit, we may ask for changes, limit access or remove the game.

Once you're happy with your game, you can press a button to 'Publish' it.

The adult account holder will then need to confirm they've given the game a final check and that it meets our safety rules ✅

Once approved, your game gets a public play link that's ready to share 🎉

No. Anyone can open a published game's public link and play without signing in.

We'll review the report and take the action we believe best protects players and the community.

When you first sign up, you'll be able to try out ZOXX with a few messages to see what the experience is like.

You will need to subscribe to a paid plan to complete and publish your first game.

Every plan comes with a monthly usage allowance.

We've designed the Starter Plan so that you will usually be able to complete and iterate on at least one small or medium project with the available allowance.

Other plans have larger allowances as described on the pricing page.

If your account has multiple profiles, all profiles share the monthly usage allowance.

You can check your remaining allowance in your account.

Your allowance refreshes each billing period. Anything unused doesn't roll over and can't be exchanged for cash.

Paid plans renew automatically for the same billing period until you cancel.

You can cancel in Settings under Manage billing or email billing@zoxx.ai

Cancelling stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of your current paid period. It doesn't delete your account or games.

The refund rights in our Terms of Service and applicable consumer law still apply.

The short answer is that the adult account holder owns the rights they create or lawfully acquire in the project-specific game as a whole.

Original submissions stay with the people who actually created or own them. That includes contributions from family members.

Some parts of a game have their own rules. Generated assets, ZOXX library materials and third-party materials come with separate licences. AI output may not be unique or protected by copyright.

Our Terms of Service explain the full ownership and licensing details.

Game assets like sound effects, background music, animations and others can be used in other projects as part of the ZOXX library.

This has three big benefits for our community:

• ⚡️ Faster progress on projects (you don't have to wait for new assets to generate)
• 💪 Get more done with your usage allowance (it's not depleted when using existing library assets)
• 💚 Lower environmental impact (from less AI generations)

There is one big exception that if you upload something like a drawing, that won't be reused by other projects, and neither will an asset that was generated based on your drawing.

You can request account deletion using the account controls or by emailing privacy@zoxx.ai

Deleting an account and cancelling a subscription are different actions.

We may need to verify a deletion request. Some limited records or backup copies may also be kept where permitted or required.
